Jackie's eating experience was fantastic. The employees were very professjonal and friendly. The food was very good. Eating there gave me memories of my Grandmother's kitchen. I will definitely be eating there again.

The chicken wings are one of my favorites. The wings are seasoned just right, with the skin a bit crispy and the meat juicy which makes for a heavenly delight. The glazed pork is also very delectable and mouthwatering. All the flavor is kept in while grilling and goes well with a good o long Island cold made the way I ike it..

First time visiting and wow the catfish was amazing, the flavor was just out of this world. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Hands down the best place to eat in the East End. I recommend the crab cakes.

awesome soul food restaurant the meatloaf is really good and the smothered pork chops. I always get the yams but the cabbage is good too. They offer karaoke and a live band or DJ on some nights. Very reasonably priced I would suggest the buffet on Sundays because you can try just about everything they offer.

Visited Jackie's for the first time today after hearing radio ads for over a year. The food arrived quickly. Everything was well seasoned and not salty. Decent portion sizes too. Service was a little slow, but our server was very polite.

Staff was so friendly and attentive. The food was just like my grandma made it. I cannot wait to go again. I took my mother and it was a wonderful evening together. The collards were my favorite part, but it was all to die for. I had the fried pork chop and it was tender and juicy. My mom has the tilapia and it was so good she had her second piece for breakfast the next day!

Great happy hour drinks, karoke, crab cakes and sweet chili shrimp are delicious

Food, superb and cooked with love you can taste! Portions are huge and prices are reasonable.

Great food. Never an issue. Need to get that phone system together so we can adequately support during this pandemic. I want to call and place orders. Not have to keep calling back hoping I don’t get Voicemail again.

Food was good. Services was terrible we made reservations at least a day in advanced prior to comingthe limited what we could order and wee still had to wait 2 hours for food. Some guest got their food at the same table 20 minutes difference after ordering together. Management did not have enough enough staff employed.

Me and my family was satisfied with all our food the oxtails, the pork chops,mac n cheese,cabbage,cornbread I've had better..the sweet chilli wings was a hit with all 5 MY kids yumminess..thank you for staying open in this trouble times

The location is great and plenty of parking, was greeted as soon as I entered, sorry I usually post photos of food, but what I can tell you is the Catfish, Mac, Potato salad was RIGHT, I was visiting from DC, and I will return.

Great atmosphere, live DJ Saturday nights.The fried pork chops were excellent, as were the collareds and mac and cheese.The waitress was prompt and friendly.

Service was horrible who serves (literally) a buffet? They actually had people putting the food on plastic plates for you with plastic forks as utensils no knives or spoons were available and the cups also plastic I don't know how they stay in business... I gave two 🌟 because the food was decent but only cabbage was offered as a green veggie no green beans or collards and this was on a Sunday after church! 🙄

This was our first visit here by way of Goldsboro, NC and we will surely be back. The food was great and so was the staff. Tomika, Tae and Ms Jackie were awesome!

Have had several problems with them and Grubhub. Order is never complete and they have canceled multiple orders because they do not have the menu items. They never even call me to tell me the order was canceled. Mother’s Day I put in three orders to pull up and have nothing, they said they were to busy to make it. Spoke with a manager who was very unfriendly. No one wants food from a person who has very bad customer service. No longer a customer since this same mistake has happened FIVE times

Every visit to Jackie's on Laburnum is always a treat. The customer service is AWESOME!! The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is like being at home. ❤️❤️

The food was ok. The service was not good. It took a while for the server to take our drink orders and our food order. Our orders were mixed up. My entree came put be for the appetizer, then my remaining side dish came out after my appetizer. My friends' pork chop was so tough she could not cut it and we were told the manager was going to come and talk to us. Nothing. It took 20 minutes to get the check. And then the waitress brought the check, it was all together. We asked her to split it but instead, she printed 3 of the same receipts and wrote our totals. I asked her for a split check- she got an attitude. I am unsure if any of will go back.

Ordered on door dash. The order was complete fresh and delicious. I highly recommend.

The food was pretty good. It took over 45 minutes to receive our food once we placed our order. When I received my fried fish it was luke warm. This was my first visit. I'll give it another try eventually.

Great place to get soul food. If its your first time try going early in the day because they get packed and it's not a lot of parking because it's a shopping center

We visited the restaurant today and the food was good 😋👍 but the employees weren't very friendly at all. The atmosphere felt home like and the salads are self served and there is a line person to serve you the Hardy meals. Also, do not go to restaurant when it's a packed house you will receive bad service lol

We just had lunch with my husband and everything was GREAT!! From Sweet Tea to Seafood platter to the chicken and waffles with sides!! Mmmm.mm..mmm ALL SO GOOD!!

Good Fun and atomsphere

Normally when I go to Jackie’s the service is exceptional! I had the day off on 2/27/2020 and went over for lunch around 12:15 pm and the main dining area was empty and there was no one at the bar. The only people in the restaurant was a party that was happening in the room to the left. I stood in the front near the door behind the “Please Wait To Be Seated Sign” for at least 10-15 minutes and was never acknowledged! I stepped out in the view of the party and still no staff came to assist me!! I stood there at least another 10-15 and still did not get any assistance. Needless to say I left the restaurant and had seek lunch somewhere else!! Just not satisfied and never thought service would be like that after driving from Chester!!!

We called at 9pm to see if they were still open Person on phone NEVER stated kitchen closed at 9;20, but they closed at 10. Why if kitchen closed? I heard great reviews and while in Petersburg we decided to check them out, Another restaurant won’t make my clients itinerary.

Hell of a fish Sando and the fries were banging. Realized how absolutely white I was when I covered my fries in hot sauce expecting it to be ketchup.

Love this place one of the best soul food places I’ve tried in a while the first time I time I tried the 3 piece wing with Mac and greens the second time I had the 2 piece whiting with green beans and mashed potatoes it was soooo good really taste like home cooked food will definitely continue to return!

I’ve been here a total of 4 times before and during quarantine. Trying to give them a chance and support our local businesses however, the service and food are awful. My burger is consistently burnt and they charge an extra dollar on every burger if you want mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Which is just one piece of lettuce, one slice of tomato, and maybe an onion if they’re feeling generous. So a 14 dollar burger will end up being 15 dollars if you don’t want just a bun and dry burger. The macaroni and cheese is very subpar, not that of a soul food restaurant. It’s never good. The oxtails were not good at all. The service is extremely slow and poor. We’ve waited well over an hour for food after ordering and paying on the phone.

The food was good. Our waitress was awesome. It was a delight to have servers on the buffet line because it is quite annoying when kids run back and forth playing on buffet lines with the food. We will go back again.

Awesome place. I’ve been here a few times and each time I had a great time. The last time I went to celebrate my friends birthday and the food, service and overall atmosphere was great. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others!!

Fun party atmosphere on karaoke/DJ night. Good is good drinks reasonably priced

Today, 2/17/19, is my first visit and I'm ready to go back again! I have every 3rd Sunday set as a reminder on my calendar, I plan on going back monthly. I went for the buffet and took it go, the cost was the same as eating in. There wasn't a look line to be served, the buffet is served by some nice ladies and I was provided decent portions. The only setback we're the fish, it was extremely salty and the noodles in the mac & cheese was overcooked. However, the smothered chicken, yams, green beans, were out of sight, it was simply delicious. The lemon and chocolate cake were equally scrumptious.

Went to Sunday buffet and boy oh boy was I pleased. When they say "all you can eat" they mean it. The food was great! It was really packed in there but we received prompt service and great personalities! The only downside for me is that it's quite a way from me... but it's worth the drive!

We used the facility for a baby shower celebration and it was a great venue space. Open, inviting and easy to set up.
